Asian Senior Corps - RSVP

(RSVP refers to Retired and Senior Volunteer Program)

Mission
Asian Senior Corps - RSVP is to encourage Asian Seniors over the age of 55 in the United States to participate in volunteer opportunities.

Objective
Asian Senior Corps - RSVP supports Asian Seniors live meaningful and healthy life by volunteering for communities with their experience and time.

Goal

1. To encourage more Korean immigrant seniors to join Asian Senior Corps – RSVP and volunteer for their communities.

2.  To expand Asian Senior Corps - RSVP to include other Asian seniors, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc, in the near future.

Activities

1. Providing Asian seniors with information on volunteer opportunities

2. Facilitating each Asian Senior Corps - RSVP volunteer to find individual volunteer opportunity

3. Facilitating and participating in group volunteer opportunities for Asian Senior Corps - RSVP volunteers

4. Facilitate RSVP training in cooperation with Atlanta Regional Commission

Who and how to join Asian Senior Corps - RSVP

Who

1. Volunteers must be 55 years of age or older

2. Must be willing to serve on a regular basis (at least 4 hours in a week) without compensation

3. Reside in or near the community served

4. Report hours, activities and outreach monthly

5. No criminal records
